Welcome to The Northwoods Journal
Every publishing house begins with a story.
Ours began with a shared belief that stories matter.
Not because they're useful. Not because they're productive. Not because they help us optimize our lives or answer our emails faster. Stories matter because they remind us what it means to be human. They spark curiosity, expand our imaginations, and connect us to people and places we may never otherwise encounter.
Northwoods Publishing House was built on a love of storytelling in all its forms. The stories we read as children. The stories we carry with us into adulthood. The stories that shape us, comfort us, challenge us, and stay with us long after we've turned the final page.
As we begin this journey, we're excited to share more than just books. Through The Northwoods Journal, we'll be sharing behind-the-scenes glimpses into the publishing process, conversations about creativity and storytelling, updates on upcoming projects, and the people helping bring our stories to life.
Whether you're a reader, writer, illustrator, educator, parent, or simply someone who believes in the power of a good story, we're glad you're here.
This is just the beginning.
Welcome to the Northwoods.
